Reason for -no-stl in qt-copy configure recommendation?

Maybe, but I can do "man qvaluevector" or "qtdoc qvaluevector" to have all the details
about its API. 
Where do I get the same for std::vector? Until now I only found www.sgi.com or buying a book.
I don't understand why this "standard" library isn't much better documented.
