why did we break kio_smtp?

Greetings,
	After this mornings update of kio_smtp, it no longer
works.  Yes I have qt w/ stl support.  I get this
error:

kio_smtp: S: 250 8BITMIME
kio_smtp: parseFeatures() PLAIN AUTH METHODS:
kio_smtp:
kio_smtp: parseFeatures() PLAIN CAPABILITIES:
kio_smtp:
kio_smtp: execute( 0xbfffea30, (nil) )
kio_smtp: C: <12 bytes>
kio_smtp: getResponse()
kio_smtp: S: 334 ok, go on
kio_smtp: getResponse()


It then times out eventually.  This worked until this
morning. Any idea on how to debug this?
