I'm making one last desperate attempt to get your facts right:

We are _not_ talking binary incompatibility here. We are talking about a 
_source_ incompatiblility issue when subclassing KDE 3.0 classes compiled 
with Qt 3.0, when compiling with a Qt 3.1.
