Maybe these patches can be considered for inclusion before 3.1? I only had a
quick look and had the impression, that they might not work for other
platforms. But you guys are more involved with the code, maybe you can make
something out of it.

I've attached changes, notes, and changelogs from my attempts to get
kde-3.1-beta2 to compile on Solaris using the "native" Forte (previously
SparcWorks) C++ 6.x compiler.

At this point I've only finished kdelibs and kdebase, but everything
seems to be working fine.
