The question I see is what to do about a simple text editor in kdebase?

1) Move KEdit over from kdeutils

2) Split out KWrite from Kate again, now that the meat of the editing 
functionality, the KPart, is in kdelibs.

3) Move kvim over from extra gear

No, don't kill me.  I'm not serious about 3). :-)
