good lord - this is never going to end is it.  This is actually a good idea 
I think, especially since there isn't a "KDE Distribution" per se,  either 
people build it on their own, or get it from their distribution.

Neil: are you going to create the "official" KDE distribution?  Or even 
make "Neils KDE"?  The CVS and the accompanying files are getting really 
really large, and now (well it's existed before) but you have this 
situation with KOrganizer and KAddressBook being in different repositories 
and moving anything starts to cause problems, so you end up with duplication.

What would be nice is a base distro and then something like apt-get or the 
gentoo stuff that pulls either source or binary packages and builds them 
for you or installs them.  you've already got a huge portion of this setup 
with the apps.kde.com back end.
