Changing the libraryPath in qtrc didn't help here, maybe because the path 
is reset every time I start kdm again... (using qt-copy + KDE_3_0_BRANCH). 
On the other hand, "showimage" in qt/examples displays the images fine. 
This suggests that it's indeed not a Qt problem.
