yes, the QA sidebar and the previews routinely come up as highlights when 
discussing / using the file dialog w/people.

unfortunately the buttons are too much, as well =/ there are many good reasons 
for getting them into the menu, and i've detailed them a few times here, on 
kde-usability, kde-cvs (oh, and there are keyboard shortcuts for all of 
them). 

but the real problem is that they shouldn't have to be accessed that often ... 
they should really only be accessed to say "yeah, i use previews" and what is 
really needed is that collapsing splitter that waldo keeps going on about ;-)
