how do you think i found out about this option?

it happened to me by accident! it also happened to one of my users by 
accident. ergo, it _does_ happen by accident.

you may be correct in stating that it doesn't happen very often by accident, 
however?

seriously though, the convenience via habit for some is a detriment due to 
ignorance for others. i think its a shame to leave a poorly designed 
destructive method in because a few ppl are used to it. *shrug*
