Which is a bug. IMHO you should implement it in KDoubleNumInput, the API was 
designed in that respect (handling of rational numbers that can be 
represented in int (for QRangeControl)). 

I don't see the point in adding another class and deprecating the old one 
when it can be done without having to change or extend the API.
