Does this allow the concept that we have with $KDEDIRS that different
workgroups may have more applications in the menus based on their KDE setup
and rights? Or does this scheme rely solely on the unix rwx permissions to
determine whether to show an app in the menu or not? That would be a huge
step back for kiosk-like closed environments.
For the rest, the idea sounds appealing to me, but there are some issues that
need to be resolved first.
