In my experience, users aren't reading those whole things.  They're so 
long.  Maybe if they were cut down to the bare important facts, details 
like that would get more attention.

But anyawy, I'm not saying that these people are right.  I'm just relating 
to you what I'm told over and over by people giving user support.

The reason I'm so familiar with that package policy page, is that I have to 
point people to it *all the time*, so they'll believe me when I tell them 
that KDE doesn't make those packages that just broke on them.  It's always 
"I downloaded it from kde.org" or "It was linked on the KDE announcement."  
So when things go wrong, they blame KDE, not their true vendor.
