That is
1. the DASH quoting/escaping I talk about all the time (which is why we want 
to encode /^-/) and
2. the textmode of OpenPGP which strips trailing whitespace.

Can we please stop this now? You can either trust me with the mail-related 
RFCs as I would trust you with the W3C specs or we should take this 
discussion to the phone, where it would be solved in a minute...
