Well I guess it makes only sense for transfers which last quite long. In that
case the user leaves the PC (or switches to another desktop e.g.) and wonders
if the file-copying dialog has disappeared
- because of a crash
- or because it is just hidden in a taskbar or behind a window
- or because the download/large filetransfer was successful
such transfers don't need to be non-local (although most of them will probably
be downloads).
