You're thinking email only. People also store snailmail addresses and
phone numbers, in an addressbook - even if they don't use email.

IMHO it's not a big problem to rely on kdebase providing apps
(i.e. no compile-time dependency). kdebase is the "base" apps,
as the name says.

For the kioslave, I agree with moving the network-related ones to kdenetwork.
And AFAIK kio_smtp isn't necessary for bugreporting anymore (even in the
non-bugs.kde.org case, that's obviously what we're talking about). Coolo's
"ksendbugmail" app doesn't use kio_smtp, but does it on its own, I think.

Audio-ripping, mac-partitions, etc. are indeed "addons", 90% of the users
won't ever use that, it could move to kdeaddons.
