Non-working desktop file Properties dialog

Anyone else seeing this in 3.0.0 and current KDE_3_0_BRANCH?

When you right-click on a desktop file, select Properties, make some 
changes and press OK, there's no error message, but the changes don't take 
effect, no matter what you change. (Happens with both konqueror and 
kicker, both as normal user and as root, so it's not a permissions 
problem).
