Hi,
I'd like to ask what license we're going to require for the Breeze
icons theme [1], considering it's a successor of Oxygen.
There's some discussion at
https://github.com/NitruxSA/plasma-next-icons/issues/4
https://techbase.kde.org/Policies/Licensing_Policy states:
"Icons in oxygen-icons must be licensed under the LGPL 3 or later
versions approved by KDE e.V. Icons elsewhere can be licensed under
any of the terms in section 4 or 5. "
If Breeze is Oxygen's successor, not the "icons elsewhere", so do you
think this freedom rule would apply too? So Android apps and
MPL-licensed LibreOffice can use the icons, and LGPL KDE modules
(frameworks) can re-use the Breeze art-work. Also web sites. And the
results can be compiled in LGPL objects if needed, finally used with
GPL-incompatible Qt Quick apps.
