  ECM provides ECMQueryQmake.cmake. you can try eg:
  
  include("${ECM_MODULE_DIR}/ECMQueryQmake.cmake")
  then calling query_qmake(qt_binaries_dir QT_INSTALL_BINS)
  
  and use ${qt_binaries_dir} as HINT
