Could you please check your symlink-related code? It doesn't work for me 
because PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES_INSTALL_DIR is normally a relative path, so I 
get symlink
/prefix/bin/pykdeuic4 -> /builddir/PyQt4/uic/pydeuic4.py
