Has there been any progress with these patches?

Doesn't simply letting the user specify PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES_DIR via
cmake -D work just as well (see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174806#c5 and
http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/553/) ?
