Reduced link interface - now for real

Hmm, that's a bit late.
Default is now an empty link interface, libs are only added explicitely.
The other option would be to have a switch which disables the emptying of the 
link interface.
Do we still want that ? It seems to be working without major problems (I 
expected a lot more).
