With cmake 2.6 you can also set CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH to e.g. /opt/kdesupport, and 
then cmake will find the stuff inside it (by appending include/, lib/ and 
bin/ appropriately).

Do you install kdelibs to the same location as kdesupport ?
