No objection.

Please have a look at kdelibs/cmake/modules/FindSharedMimeInfo.cmake. It 
searches the executable and adds a macro which calls this executable with a 
given path.
Maybe your macro and this one could be merged into something like a 
FindXdgStuff.cmake.

But just go ahead and commit.
