Hi,
i just committed some changes, so that kate is compiled with scons. when you
want to check it out do the following:
svn up
scons configure
scons
scons install
and then start an Xnest or similar, and then execute katetest.
for me it looks like this:
kde4 at gentoo ~ $ katetest
kwrite: ERROR: Error: standard icon theme "crystalsvg" not found!
kwrite: KAccel( watch = [KMainWindow pointer(0x08141be8) to unnamed widget,

and it opens a message window, that says "A KDE text-editor-component fould
not be found; please check your KDE installation."
the unsermake-built katetest looks like this:

can somebody hint me to why the scons-built version does not start ? it seems,
that dcop is not started. where should i search for the problem ? also the
katepart.la is not found, although it is where it should be:
kde4 at gentoo ~ $ ls -l /home/holger/kdesvnbuild/kdescons/lib/kde4/kate*
-rw-r--r-- 1 holger users 308 Dec 24
20:51 /home/holger/kdesvnbuild/kdescons/lib/kde4/katepart.la
