OK, I have now also applied commit 1078706 (fix build with recent 
FindQt4.cmake changes) and this together with commit 1077826 (those 
can't be instantiated) I get a lot further.

In the end unfortunately, I am getting the same linker error I had at 
first after disabling smoke altogether (I *do* build now with the 
cmake settings I used for 4.3.90):

kdebindings failed to build.

In my build directory, I do not have a libsmokekde but I do have 
./lib/libsmokekdecore.so.3.0.0 and ./lib/libsmokekdeui.so.3.0.0 so 
this problem seems like a similar to the one you fixed earlier Arno.
