[Kde-bindings] Testing Qt apps on Windows

Hi,

I am totally new to Qt, please feel free to point me to the appropriate FAQ.

We have a Qt 3.23 based application written in C++ running on Windows.
We have been testing it using the Win32::GuiTest module of Perl but we
hit a wall.

As I unbedrstand in this company they have already tried the
commercial Qt tester tools
and either they were too expensive or they fell even before people
reached this level of testing.

We have two main issues right now:
1) I cannot fetch the list of menue items and cannot click on them
based on their names
2) Cannot fetch the text of the labels

I though of trying to access them via the * bindings of Qt (I prefer
Perl but if that is Ruby or Python or Tcl they are ok as well). I
wonder if anyone has experience with this
and if that is doable.

As an immediate need, I would like to install the Perl (or any of the
other) bindings on Windows but could not find such a distribution yet.
Where shall I look ?

Gabor
