There would need need to a .ui -> .rb Makefile rule to invoke rbuic on the .ui 
files. So the project generation of the Makefile.am would need to do that.

Ah, ok - maybe it was you on irc? How many KDE ruby people are there - should 
we have our own mailing list like kde-perl to coordinate? 

Anyhow I must pay more attention to KDevelop/ruby support. I just been using 
either Kate or KDevelop 2.0 for older projects recently.
