Summary: mcs is not necessarily a c# compiler
           Product: bindings
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-bindings mail kde org
        ReportedBy: glisse clipper ens fr

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Solaris

when looking for a c# compiler, the configure script just looks for an existing program called mcs, but on solaris, /usr/ccs/bin/mcs exists and is not a c# compiler at all. I though it would be nice to check wether the detected program is indeed a c# compiler or to add a special test for solaris. Otherwise make will fail on the non-existing csant program.
Since --without-mcs solves the problem, it is not too bad.
