Its author is Torben Weis, I don't know what he plans for it (CCing)...
I just checked : it compiles (with a lot of warnings).
Ran a test : it attachs to dcop,
but then I got an error about a pcop object that isn't accessible.

Done (though it lacks an autoconf test for Perl... I'll add that)

kalyptus isn't meant to be installed, it should stay in the source tree...
does ./configure try to install it ?
