Type: KIO slave
More Info: http://kodeclutz.blogspot.com/search/label/gsoc2010
I am happy to announce the first release of the UPnP MediaServer KIO slave
which allows KDE applications to browse UPnP devices on the local network.
This project was part of the Google Summer of Code task "Amarok and
KDE UPnP Integration".
This release is meant for application developers as the slave is not
integrated into KDE yet. The Cagibi daemon, a part of KDE SC 4.5 may
be used for UPnP device detection. For installation details and usage
see the README. API documentation is in controlpointthread.h.
Amarok 2.4 will quite likely include a capability to play streams from
UPnP devices and treat them as collections. This slave is used in that
project and as such will be an optional dependency for Amarok.
Bugs and feedback should be sent to nsm.nikhil at gmail.com.
