Description:
KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be
displayed, commands to be executed, or emails to
be sent, at scheduled times. Among its options, it
allows you to choose the message font and color,
how often to repeat, whether to display an advance
reminder, whether to speak the message or play a
sound when it is displayed, whether to cancel the
alarm if it can't be triggered on time (e.g. if
you are logged out at the time). As well as using
the graphical interface to configure alarms, you
can use the command line, and there is a DCOP
interface for other applications.

The development version (1.9 series) includes the
new facility to use multiple alarm resources, and
to share resources. This allows, for example,
sharing alarm calendars between laptops and
desktop computers. It also includes a new facility
to set the time zone for alarm times.
Summer/winter (daylight saving) time changes are
now handled correctly. Plus various other new
features. The 1.9 series is reasonably stable by
now, but do please help by reporting any bugs you
find - or reporting if it works well for you
(using the new user comment feedback facility if
you like).

Changelog:
Version 1.5.0: Simple repetitions have been
replaced by recurrence sub-repetitions to reduce
confusion. The alarm edit dialog layout has been
improved. Reminder times can now be entered in
minutes. Debian package dependencies have been
fixed. The minimum build requirement is now KDE
3.3: for KDE 3.2 and earlier, download version
1.4.22.

Version 1.9.10 beta: Multiple identical error
messages are now suppressed. The Menu key works.
Crashes when saving preferences and when creating
an alarm with a sub-repetition have been fixed.
Saving new alarms to newly added resources now
works. Plus other bug fixes.
