Dear subscribers,

A new version of KMess has just been released. With so many fixes and
improvements in CVS, it was time to release a second preview of KMess 1.5.
This release fixes some critical issues found in 1.5-pre1.

== What is KMess ==
KMess is an alternative MSN Messenger chat client for Linux. It allows Linux
users to chat with friends who use MSN Messenger in Windows or Mac OS. The
strength of KMess is it's integration with the KDE desktop environment, focus
on MSN Messenger specific features and an easy-to-use interface.

== Changes in this release ==
The most important bugfixes are better support for direct file transfer
connections, and links in the chat window. There are also some nice
improvements, like file transfer previews, now playing information, and an
option to disable the nudge shaking effect. The features introduced with pre1
also received incremental improvements. More information can be found at the
front page and changelog.

The file transfer previes are generated for any file type supported in
Konqueror. This includes OpenOffice, HTML and video files! The chat window
supports geek-style links now. It happens all the time people
write "dot.kde.org", "planetkde.org", or "slashdot.org". These links are
clickable as well, without getting all kinds of false-positives. As new
option, it's also possible to disable the shaking effect of a nudge.
