Description:
KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be
displayed, commands to be executed, or emails to
be sent, at scheduled times. It allows you to
choose the message font and color, how often to
repeat, whether to display an advance reminder,
whether to speak the message or play a sound when
it is displayed, and whether to cancel the alarm
if it can't be triggered on time (e.g. if you are
logged out at the time). As well as using the
graphical interface to configure alarms, you can
use the command line, and there is a DCOP
interface for other applications.

Changelog:
 Version 1.4.6:
Layouts of the alarm edit dialog and preferences
dialog have been improved. It fixes some bugs,
notably the bug in editing 29th February options
for non-leap years. Farsi and Belarusian
translations have been added, and other
translations improved.

Version 1.4.7: fixes crash on some systems when
saving the Preferences dialog.

Version 1.4.8: fixes crash when autostarted; makes
Find dialogue work when search text is changed.

Version 1.9 (beta):
Includes the new facility to use multiple alarm
resources, and to share resources. This allows,
for example, sharing alarm calendars between
laptops and desktop computers. Also includes a new
facility to set time zone for alarm times.
Summer/winter (daylight saving) time changes are
now handled correctly.
These have involved extensive changes to KAlarm,
so please help by reporting any bugs you find - or
reporting if it works well for you (using the new
user comment feedback facility if you like).

Version 1.9.5beta: Test button added to sound file
selection dialog. Start-of-day time no longer
ignored for date-only alarms. Unwanted alarms for
simple repetitions and on recurrence exception
dates are now suppressed. Other bug fixes. Added
Kazakh and Nepali translations.
