Description:
This is a simple hack to kdelibs-3.5-5 (and
3.5.6) that adds basic emblem support, like in
GNOME. (It doesn't use the same format, though.)
There is currently no GUI to select emblems for
files, so to set an emblem, run this command:
xattr -s emblem -V icon-name file
icon-name can be either a valid KDE icon name or
an absolute path (e.g. /home/user/icon.png).
Currently, emblems are not drawn on thumbnail
previews. I'll attempt to fix this in the next
version.
Requirements:
- KDE 3.5.5 or 3.5.6
- Extended Attribute support (xattrs must be
supported by the kernel and the current filesystem
- add the user_xattr option to fstab if necessary)
