every sort of items: text, rich text, links,
images, sounds, files, colors, application
launcher...
Objects can be edited, copied, dragged... So, you
can arrange them as you want !
This application can be used to quickly drop web
objects (link, text, images...) or notes, as well
as to free your clutered desktop (if any).
It is also useful to collect informations for a
report. Those data can be shared with co-workers
by exporting baskets to HTML.
Changelog:
****** IMPORTANT ******
* There is a DATA LOSS RISK with
* every 0.6.0 Alpha 1 versions in
* one situation: you should upgrade
* to Alpha 2!
*************************
** BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0 Alpha 2 **
- Fix the data loss when you dragged a note to the
bottom of a column-layout basket displaying a
vertical scrollbar. Your data was not moved but
apparently deleted.
- Text editors don't close themselves anymore, the
note grow/reduce with the editor and the basket is
saved regularily!
- The inserter right-part to group new note is now
disabled (still an option)
- When filtering, show every matching notes, even
if they were hidden in a closed group
- Changed some other little behaviours to make the
application respond more naturally
- Keyboard navigation is near to be finished; Home
and End keys are now more intelligent by acting
based on a scope; you can assign/remove tags with
the keyboard
- You can import from Tomboy and from KJots 0.7
- More seamless group folding animation
- Globally less bugs and less crashes
** BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0 Alpha 1 D **
- Compiles again with KDE 3.3
- You can grab a zone of the screen to an image
note (INCREDIBLE useful and easy)
- Auto-spellCheck of text notes (was disabled in
previous Alphas due to a bug)
- The "item" generic concept is renamed to "note"
- New russian translation
- A begining of keyboard navigation (sill highly
un-polished)
** BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0 Alpha 1 C **
Export to HTML is back (it is not complete (all
groups are exported expanded, item tooltips are
not present, and Internet Explorer gets some
display bugs) but it is usable daily). Here is an
exemple of basket exported to HTML:
http://basket.kde.org/developement/Research.html
* You tried and adopted BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0
Alpha 1 C? You love it... but you miss the ability
to edit the tags and add your own tags?
While waiting for a tag editor (in beta 2), here
is a little hack to create your own tags:
http://basket.kde.org/tags-in-0.6.0-alpha1.php
** BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0 Alpha 1 B **
- Import from KNotes, KJots and GNOME Sticky Notes
are back!
- Do not crash if a popup menu is not found
- REALLY compiles without aRts: the end of the
nightmare
- 6 bug fixes
- 3 new help-links for usability purpose
- Better insertion shortcuts: you can press the
Insert key even when editing an item and the new
item will inherit the tag of the last item in the
last column (as it should always have been)
**** BasKet Note Pads 0.6.0 Alpha 1 is Released
****
Now, you can download the development version of
what will be the next generation of BasKet.
It's already usable for daily use, but some
features are not finished (no way to edit tags
graphically) and some 0.5.0 features are not back
in (no way to export to HTML anymore, and no
keyboard navigation).
Changes are impressive:
- Startup is now instantaneous, even with a lot of
baskets
- Baskets are now in a tree instead of a tabbar
- Items can be grouped, groups can be collapsed
- Items can be tagged
- You can filter every baskets at a time
- You can organize your items in several columns
or position them freely
- A totally new way to interact with the items:
everything is at one click (no dark keyboard
modifiers to press anymore)
- Several items can be copied/dragged at once
- New look, behaviour and features to every item
types (including file preview, spell-checking,
clickable links in texts...)
- The look of the items is now more beautiful, and
it's all animated, faster, and without flicker
- Usability has been improved
And a lot more: discover every changes and a lot
of screenshots on the Development Page.
