Description:
What is RepoKommander
---------------------
Many great package repositories are available for
SUSE. However it takes knowledge and work to find
and manage these. This Kommander script gives you
a large selection of repositories that you can add
graphically with point'n'click.
A version is available both for YaST2/Zen/Rug
(default), and the very popular Smart Package
Manager.
Requirements
------------
To execute Kommander scripts you have to install
the kdewebdev-package. GNOME users don't worry -
most KDE core libs are already on your system,
installing kdewebdev will only require
installation of four small packages.
How to run it
-------------
Once kdewebdev is installed it couldn't be easier.
However you need to run it as root for it to work
- the following is the easiest way:
Open your Application menu -> System -> File
manager -> File manager (super-user-mode).
Once Konqueror is running as root, all you have to
do is click the on the suse-repokommander-xxx.kmdr
and you'll be ready to add repositories and
install wonderful software in no tome.
Feedback
--------
If you find bugs, have suggestions etc. write
comments below - or find me (cb400f) on IRC at
#opensuse at irc.freenode.net.
