Correct way to get custom entries into AndroidManifest.xml ?

Hi,

what is the correct way to get custom entries into AndroidManifest.xml ?
(I'd like to add android:requestLegacyExternalStorage="true" to see 
whether this fixes my crashes)

During make create-apk, ECMDeployQt.cmake creates qmlcanvas-
deployment.json (?), and then androiddeployqt (?) reads this and create 
AndroidManifest.xml from it, which is then used by the packaging tool (?)
