[Kde-accessibility] Plans for KDE 3.4

Hello folks,

Related to this; it could be good to know that there's an extension to the
Free Desktop Icon Theme Specification under work, which standardizes icon
names(and other details). The result is that icon themes will be desktop
environment agnostic. For example, it wouldn't be necessary to borrow icons
from another theme, one could simply switch to that theme(regardless of if
GNOME folks created it, for example).

Another not so related technical detail is the works of an icon cache, an
mmaped binary file, which contains various data for fast lookups. It is
possible to put the actual images in this file, meaning that the icon theme
itself could only be in SVG, while that binary file contains the png rendered
versions, in various sizes(practical from a maintenance perspective).

Cheers,
