Hi!

I just wanted to give an update on some events concerning kttsd that
happend off-list during that last weeks:

Gary volunteered to be new kttsd maintainer and has started to clear up
and improve the code. I have updated
http://accessibility.kde.org/contact/ accordingly. The change will show
in a few hours.

At FOSDEM, Gunnar and I had talks with Roger and Bill about defining a
common low-level API for speech device drivers. It seems possible to use
the BRASS drivers as a starting point, but the API would need a number of
small changes (and of course a good documentation).

Which API exactly to use if of course a decision of Gary, Roger and the
gnome-speech people (if they are interested in joining).

Olaf
