Spoke too soon... I re-tested with a Kubuntu 24.04 live session and I could
invoke the molecule editor but couldn't add atoms as it would make the
application crash. Tested version is identical to the one in the report.
The issue persists in version 25.04.2 with the added bonus of rendering issues.
