Summary: kalzium reports melting and boiling point with
                    specification of the chemical structure
           Product: kalzium
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kalzium at kde.org
        ReportedBy: egonw at users.sourceforge.net

Version: 2.3.80 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-21-generic

Chemical elements are concepts, not physical entities. Atoms are, but even a
single atom does not have all physical properties. Melting point is a property
of a solid of some chemical structure; boiling points is a physical property of
a liquid of some chemical structure.

Now, Kalzium reports melting points and boiling points *without* reporting the
substance for which it is reported. For example, it reports a melting point for
hydrogen, and assumingly this refers the the molecule H2 gas, but does not
report so.

Likewise, there is a single melting point for carbon, but does not specify for
which polymorph this is: graphite, graphene, buckyball, or diamond.
