Yes, in Inkscape it now looks better to me. Just my humble opinion: you can be 
even more aggressive with contrast and light effects. But I already like it a 
lot. The inscriptions on the coin are now readable at small sizes, which is 
good.

The new version of this icon now hits the rendering bug of Qt but as I said, 
don't care about it for now.

Carsten: What I suggest is that eventually (possibly after the feature freeze) 
we discuss this issue with the Oxygen guys. Surely they know well about the 
limitations of the Qt SVG renderer and they'll be able to help us fixing all 
icons at once (I guess there are just a few SVG tags to avoid, it's surely 
not a big deal).

More understandable now, I like it :) I would suggest that you use a blue 
background to evocate the sea.

Carsten: why do you say "Please use a transparent background" ? That makes 
sense for desktop/toolbar icons but I don't understand the point of it for 
Kalzium element icons, which sit alone in their own box... as I already 
mentionned, Jarle himself hasn't always respected this rule for Mg and Ar. So 
is it really important and why?
