I managed to track down the exact way of reproducing this error.
Note: I have disabled sidebar and tooltips, I haven't tried without it.

Here are the steps:
1. Click on "H" element. Element information dialog appears.
2. Click on "Spectrum" to show spectrum tab.
3. Click "Close" to close the dialog.
4. Click on "H" element again.
5. Move the mouse.
