            Bug ID: 505545
Summary: Add Support for Ripping CD Hidden Tracks
    Classification: Applications
           Product: k3b
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Copying
          Assignee: k3b at kde.org
          Reporter: drewpad at icloud.com
CC: michalm at jabster.pl, trueg at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello. I frequently use k3b for ripping CDs and find it a pleasant experience.
However, I sometimes cone across CDs with a hidden track (for instance, Factory
Showroom by They Might Be Giants). No indicator of this track’s existence
appears in the ripping GUI. This meant I had to resort to proprietary software
- I was able to rip the track using Exact Audio Copy running through Wine.

I would like the ability to rip these hidden tracks through k3b. Exact Audio
Copy implements it by allowing you to select a timestamp range, and I think a
similar implementation could work for k3b.

Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day.

I have placed my system specifications below, though as this id a feature
request rather than a true bug report, they shouldn’t matter all that much:

Operating System: Debian Testing
CPU Architecture: x86_64
Desktop Environment: XFCE 4.20
Linux Kernel Version: 6.12.30
CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Drive: LG WH16NS40
