K3b settings pix

SUMMARY
When putting in a CD or DVD K3b reports type of disk and empty. I go through
setting up files to burn and when I start the burn dialog opens and under
writing tab Remove image is checked and grayed out.
 Writing Data Dialog appears with two red circles (see attachments)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Completely uninstalled K3B components in Synaptic Package Mgr and
reinstalled. No good.
2. Went to free on #Freenode to #linumint and got hardware changes to make (see
attachments). no good either.
3. Checked all hardware connections for loose plugs etc. no ggog.
