GSoC 2025 Project on Dataset Editors in GCompris

Summer greetings to all members of GCompris community :)

I am Ashutosh, a pre-final year student at KIIT university,India, with a
Computer Science major. This summer I will be working on adding dataset
editors in Gcompris-server to create custom datasets as part of Google Summer
of Code. Opensource gives everyone an opportunity to give back to the
community and create meaningful impacts, that has been my motivation :)

Earlier this year I participated in 'Season of KDE 2025' and worked upon
creating a GUI for MankalaEngine:
https://invent.kde.org/ashutoshhh/mancala-gui. It was an incredible journey
filled with lot of learnings.
Late night debuggings, team meetings with everyone and my mentor discussing
potential solutions. A had been an impressive and meaningful journey for me.

This summer I will be working upon five activities in GCompris.
1.Learn Decimals
2.Graduated Lines
3.Grammatical Analysis
4.Share pieces of candy
5.Fractions
I will be creating  GUI's for adding custom datasets to these activities
and if need be improving existing logics in the activity.js .

I’m looking forward to a memorable and enriching summer with KDE, GCompris
and Google Summer of Code.

I simply could not be more grateful to the community for accepting my
proposal and I’m appreciative of the challenges that I am going to
encounter.
