GCompris on Debian 11

Dear GCompris Devs,

I appreciate your hard work at making this great app for my kids.

Since the latest Debian 11 [XFCE] stable upgrade, the app (qt - v. 
1.0.1) has begun to behave strangely - see attached video about the error.

Could you please guide me on how to solve that?
