To complete Johnny's answer:
The file to remove is gcompris-qt.conf, in the folder
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/gcompris/
(replace username by your actual username... Also the Library folder is
hidden by default)
Somehow the value of the saved position of the window can be very
weird... It's a new bug specific to macOS... Maybe they have changed
something recently as it never happened before and now you're the second
to report such issue within a few days.
