Guys check out the links Johnny has mentioned and along with that check out
https://gcompris.net/screenshots-en.html.
these are screenshots of the activities of the GTK+ version . So you can
work on porting any activity which hasn't been ported yet. But you are free
to bring out changes(not to port it as same as it was). just try out the
GTK+ version once.
first get Gcompris up and running . start working on any (check on
phabrikator and open up task if needed ) activity and  ask Questions on irc
in case of any problem(#gcompris). It's pretty active.
