Hi, I've tried the new installer (dated to 13 Aug) on virtualbox'ed Windows 8 x64. The try was a success and GCompris launched, but I still had to install "Visual C++ Redistributable" - without it I got the message about "api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll" missing library. Thank you for your update
